Taking A Closer Look

When trying to figure out who a particular follower is, it’s always good to have some context. Does this person use other sites on the web? What does he tweet about? Is it all just retweets or links galore?

To help you make the call, I’ve added the so-called user drilldown. Behold!

In the big tables, you’ll now see a looking glass icon. Here’s a screenshot (click for a bigger version):

The looking glass will open the drilldown overlay, which contains a bit of context for the selected user:

The statistics (2) show the percentage of retweets as well as the percentage of replies the user has made, also the percentage of tweets which contain links. (These numbers are calculated from the last 200 tweets.)

The second interesting section of the drilldown shows a list of links to sites and profiles which probably belong to this person. Now, you might want to take this list with a grain of salt, and here’s why:

These links were collected by Google (using their so-called Social Graph API; TwerpScan queries this API for links and connections related to this Twitter profile, and this is what’s returned. So the list might contain personal websites or this person’s profiles on other sites; but there’s also a more or less slim chance there might be “false positives”.

To rephrase: TwerpScan didn’t compile this list, and I don’t claim it’s correct. See it as an attempt of giving you some additional context regarding this person.

Have fun!
